This Privacy Policy describes how the AlertyPL mobile application and website (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) process users’ personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Polish data protection laws (RODO).
The Service is provided free of charge and is available “as is”.
By using our Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
IMPORTANT: AlertyPL is an auxiliary informational tool and DOES NOT REPLACE official alerting and communication systems of the Republic of Poland. Always rely on official information sources and instructions issued by relevant authorities.

The Service is intended for users located within the territory of Poland.
2. Data We May Process
We do not create user accounts and do not collect identifying personal data such as name, surname, or contact details.
While using the Service, the following categories of data may be processed:
2.1 Technical and operational data
- device type
- operating system
- application version
- timestamps
- event logs
- diagnostic and crash data
- anonymized IP address
2.2 Geolocation (optional, with consent)
Access to geolocation may be granted by the user in order to ensure correct operation of alert notifications.
We do not store location history and do not track user movements.
2.3 Settings data
- selected voivodeship / region
- interface language
- push notification settings
2.4 Analytical and diagnostic data
Used to ensure stability and improve the quality of the Service.
2.5 Advertising-related data (website)
The website may collect data via cookies for the purpose of:
- displaying advertisements
- statistics
- traffic measurement
3. Push Notifications
Push notifications are used to inform users about air raid alerts and other related messages.
The user may withdraw consent at any time in the device settings.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service may use third-party services for analytics, stability, and advertising purposes, including:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Google Ads (website advertising)

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.

a) necessary (mandatory) — required for website functionality

Upon the first visit to the website, the user is presented with a banner allowing them to give or refuse consent.
6. Project Support
The Service may contain links to external platforms for voluntary donations.
We do not have access to users’ payment or identifying data during such transactions.
7. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Data processing is carried out on the basis of:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — provision of Service functionality
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest (analytics and stability)
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent (push notifications, geolocation, cookies, advertising)
8. Data Transfer and Storage
Data may be stored on servers located in the EU and/or the USA depending on Firebase and Google infrastructure.
If data is transferred outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with GDPR (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions).
We do not sell personal data to third parties, do not use it for profiling, and do not create marketing profiles.
9. Data Retention Period
We store data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of processing:
- technical and diagnostic data — up to 90 days
- settings data — until the application is removed by the user
- cookies — in accordance with the duration specified in the website consent banner

- rectify inaccurate data
- erase data (“right to be forgotten”)
- restrict processing

- object to processing

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

12. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to have it removed.

The Service may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for their privacy policies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of each website you visit.
14. Changes to the Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page with an updated effective date. In case of significant changes, we may notify you via the application.
